Opening a restaurant is notoriously challenging, often fraught with high overhead, substantial initial investment, and recurring fixed costs. My primary objective was to craft a business plan for Sonna's Patisserie that ensured a 20% revenue margin after costs by the end of the year.
To achieve this, I developed a dual-pronged branding strategy. The brand was positioned as a luxurious, high-end patisserie while leveraging economies of scale to maintain profitability. I segmented the product offerings into two distinct categories:

The results of these research activities were analyzed using data analytics tools like SPSS and Google Analytics. This comprehensive analysis informed the strategic decisions, ensuring they were data-driven and targeted.
Using advanced data analytics and various analytical tools such as Google Analytics, Tableau, and Microsoft Power BI, I divided the business into these two segments. This segmentation allowed me to optimize pricing strategies, inventory management, and marketing efforts. As a result, I achieved a consistent 20% monthly profitability and a 15% overall growth every quarter.
Recognizing the importance of a strong digital presence, I integrated Customer Relationship Management (CRM) technologies and database management systems to automate and personalize customer interactions. Additionally, we conducted multiple bi-weekly campaigns under an overarching umbrella campaign, positioning the founder as the face of the brand. This humanized the business to such an extent that customers would visit the stores hoping to meet the founder, rather than just make a purchase.
I led the creative direction of the design, encompassing all visual aspects of the brand. This included the development of logos, packaging, and social media posts. Additionally, I oversaw the design of promotional materials, in-store signage, and the overall aesthetic of the patisserie. My design approach ensured consistency across all touchpoints, reinforcing the brand's luxury image.
The combined efforts in research, branding, data analytics, digital strategy, and design not only met but exceeded my profitability and growth targets. Sonna's Patisserie now enjoys a robust market presence and a loyal customer base, supported by a well-executed marketing strategy.
